🇵🇹 A Portuguese Prelude: Lisbon & Porto

Lisbon – The journey began in Portugal’s charismatic capital, where my clients stayed at the centrally located My Story Ouro, a charming bed and breakfast nestled in the heart of historic Lisbon. With its cobbled streets and pastel-hued buildings, Lisbon was the perfect introduction to Europe’s charm.

They explored beyond the city with the Sintra and Cascais Small-Group Day Trip, visiting the fairytale palaces of Sintra and the coastal beauty of Cascais. Back in Lisbon, they immersed themselves in the local culture with a Shared Market Tour and Seafood Cooking Class, learning to prepare fresh Portuguese dishes in the heart of the city. Porto – Next stop: the picturesque city of Porto, where they checked into the Grande Hotel do Porto, a historic gem with Old World charm. 🇮🇹 Tuscan Dreams: Italy

The next part of their adventure was from Portugal to the cradle of the Renaissance: Florence, Italy. Staying at the elegant Athena Hotel, they soaked in the art, architecture, and flavors of Tuscany. One thing that I try to do when planning your itinerary out is consider all of the accomodations that you find important for your journey. That is something that I make note of during our discovery call where I make note of everything you want to see built into your trip.

From Florence, they embarked on a Half-Day Brunello di Montalcino Wine Tour from Siena, sampling some of Italy’s finest wines in the scenic Tuscan countryside. These are those special moments that you think of when you think of that dream vacation to Italy. The beautiful stroll through the winery with the never ending countryside in the background. And who wants to go to Italy and not experience the food? They also took part in an Authentic Florence Cooking Class and Market Food Tour, deepening their love of Italian cuisine while learning hands-on from local chefs.

Spa Serenity in Tuscany

For the final leg of their journey, my clients enjoyed a luxurious stay at the Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort, part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott International. This thermal spa hotel, entirely renovated in 2021, is a sanctuary of wellness featuring Europe’s largest thermal grotto—a mystical, natural steam cave once described by composer Giuseppe Verdi as the “eighth wonder of the world.” I believe that vacation should have those moments of rest and relaxation along the way and this itinerary was sure to include that.
